Catechesis as a “Podvig” in terms of Fellowship

Catechesis is training for the life of faith – a living and direct transfer of experience and Church Tradition from one believer to another. The catechist has the opportunity to really see a person and really come into fellowship with him or her, which requires – and itself becomes – something of a spiritual accomplishment (podvig) on the level of fellowship. We invite you to come and share your experiences, which are always valuable and completely unique.

Discussion: The relationship between a Catechist and his student: Necessity, or “Optional Extra”?

●     How to explain to another person at catechesis what the salt of life and meaning of life in faith is?
●     What sort of personal and church experience should a catechist use in his work and share with his student? How can this experience be harnessed, actualized and expanded?

Discussion: The fellowship of the Catechist as a Basis and Source of Inspiration for Catechesis 

●     Where does a Catechist get the strength for sharing, so that he can risk the spiritual accomplishment of true fellowship with his students?”
●     In whom and where does the Catechist see the church? What does the environment of the church mean to a Catechist?
